Mi nombre es Breanna Sewell y estoy corriendo para la Junta Directiva del Colegio del Desierto para el Área 2, Zona 5, del Distrito de Colegios del Desierto. Estoy corriendo para este puesto en la directiva para asegurar que mis vecinos locales estén conscientes de las oportunidades educacionales cerca de su alcance. También estoy corriendo para este puesto porque la educación es la clave para un futuro exitoso. Y sé también que nuestros vecinos con una educación traen oportunidad para una comunidad más segura.
Como una graduada del colegio, dueña de un negocio local, una voluntaria activa en la comunidad y una Rotaria, sé que puedo ser una representante que puede ser un enlace entre la brecha educacional. En el 2012 empecé mi propio negocio con mi esposo, y atendía el colegio como una estudiante de tiempo completo. En el 2014 me gradué del Colegio Universitario Fullerton de California con un Bachillerato en Negocios con un enfoque en Administración Operacional. En ese mismo año pude obtener mi licencia como agente inmobiliaria. En el 2015, mi esposo y yo, nos mudamos de regreso a sus raíces en Desert Hot Springs trayendo nuestro negocio con nosotros. Ese mismo año recibí los honores de Servicio Rotario con Pasión, Nuevo Rotario Excepcional, Persona de Negocio del Año por medio de la Cámara de Comercio de Desert Hot Springs y nuestro negocio fue premiado el Negocio Pequeño del Año por medio de la Cámara de Comercio de Desert Hot Springs.
Mi bachillerato me ha dado muchas oportunidades, y creo que ha sido la clave mayor en mi éxito. Con esta oportunidad de poder dar de regreso a nuestro colegio comunitario y a mis vecinos, estoy emocionada en poder seguir adelante con mi campaña. Con mi experiencia, yo sé que puedo representar a mis vecinos en la silla de la Junta Directiva. Yo prometo el promover sus necesidades en todo tiempo. Tengo planificado incrementar alcances comunitarios y que todos estén bien informados. También voy a abogar accesos adicionales para la educación Norte del I-10.
